Is your community calling out your true self?
"I sometimes feel overwhelmed in my community group." "I sense from this group that I must get in line, or get it together." "They seem most excited about me doing what they are doing, not sharing who I am…" Biblical community can call to our true self, or it can replace one false self with another. For many, christian community confuses transformation with a version of 'biblical conformity' that neglects heart formation. True identity and true self are always heart issues, not behavior issues. The mindset, "Work on the behavior and the heart will follow.", is the path to a new false self for many. Biblical community with the few people that you trust should call out to heart level transformation!
